 25
          Wellington cartoonists in one gallery.
Did you know there were 25 cartoonists
            in Wellington?

This is the most diverse cartoon exhibition ever held in New Zealand.
The artists are caricaturists, political cartoonists, strip cartoonists,
            webcomic
creators, comic illustrators, fantasy artists and satirists. They
publish their works in newspapers, magazines, mini-comics, student
            media, and
online. They range in age from 18 to…uh…mid-fifties.
The seventy-five works on display are all completely different in
            style, medium
            and content.

This exhibition is designed to complement the Armageddon Pulp Culture
Expo at the Queen’s Wharf Events Centre (16th-17th
            April) and 91
            Aro Street’s
NZ Comics Weekend (also 16th-17th April) as part of the NZ Comics
Festival, organised by The Package and the NZ Cartoon Archive.

The artists have selected their favourite works for this exhibition, which
includes a mixture of originals and prints. There are original pages from
graphic novels, posters designed especially for the exhibition, and a reading
table of material. There will also be a catalogue of artist details.

There is an opening function at 6pm on Thursday 14th April.
 If
you are interested at all in this somewhat marginalised art form, please
              come along.
